<p>PURPOSE:To provide a title composition excellent in chemical resistance, adhesivity, pigment dispersiblity, stable shelf life, and coated layer properties which contains a maleic anhydride adduct of a vinyl-substituted aromatic cpd.-conjugated diene cpd. block copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A vinyl-substituted aromatic cpd.-conjugated cpd. block copolymer is reacted with maleic ahnydride in an organic solvent and in the presence of an azobis radical-polymerization catalyst to provide a maleic anhydride adduct of the vinyl-substituted aromatic cpd.-conjugated diene cpd. block copolymer, to which are added an inorganic pigment, such as TiO2 or cabon black, in an amount of less than 300wt%, preferably 100-200wt%, and a high-molecular cpd., such as alkyd resin or melamine resin, in an amount of 5-200wt%, preferably 30-120 wt%, to provide coating material or printing ink.</p> |
