PURPOSE:To prevent damages of circuits and a motor by providing an overload detection circuit which detects the application of an overload to the motor and a delay circuit and by stopping the current to the motor for only the time interval set by the delay circuit at the time of the overload. CONSTITUTION:A turntable driving motor and the like 12 is rotated in the forward and reverse diretions depending on the operations of transistors 24-27 by applying a signal to terminals 28 and 30. The overcurrent of the motor 12 is detected by emitter resistors 32 and 33 for said transistors 25 and 27, actuates a mono-multivibrator 36 via the transistors 34 and 35, and turns off a transistor 38, thereby the motor current is cut off. Therefore, the current is cut off for only the time interval of the width of the pulse from the mono-multivibrator 36. After said time interval has elasped, the current can be applied to the motor 12 agian. The start and stop of the motor 12 are repeated, and the poor attitude of a cassette and the like can be corrected. |
