PURPOSE:To eliminate the lowering and biasing problems of magnetic field due to a partial drop of magnets or pole pieces by avoiding the traverse of a traveling- wave tube for connection through the pole pieces or the magnets. CONSTITUTION:The cavity 9 at the lowest end, constituting a traveling-wave circuit, is connected in such a shape that the sectional portion extending in the axial direction of tube at its bottom is connected perpendicularly with the waveguide tube 10 having a cross-section of a sector of a circle. The waveguide tube 10 extends over a limited length along the axial direction and then is connected to the flattened waveguide tube 12 extending perpendicularly to the waveguide tube 10, provided on the outside of the outermost pole piece 11. At the joint portion, the conically tapered portion 13 is provided, and to the other end of the flat waveguide tube 12, the tapered waveguide tube 1 is connected. |
