Base clipping circuit for applying to aperture complement circuit improving video signal resolution is composed of a resister, signal source(2) being grounded 1st diode(4), current source(5) being arounded, second diode(6) and direct current source(7). An output terminal(3) is led at the coupling point of the resistor and the signal source. Voltage value of the direct current source is equal to the value which is obtained at the output terminal when input signal is not applied to the circuit.
