PURPOSE:To reduce the amounts of resin and ammonium dichromate in fluorescent substance slurry and to improve the emission luminance of a fluorescent screen by adding an azide polymer to a polyvinyl alcohol-ammonium dichromate. CONSTITUTION:A slurry, obtained by adding an azide polymer of the general formula I (R is an organic group or polymer containing an alcoholic hydroxyl group, n is an integer of at least 1, and M is an atom or group convertible into a cation in aqueous solution, e.g., H an alkali metal, ammonium, etc.) to a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-ammonium dichromate (ADC), is coated on the inner surface of a face plate to form a film, and exposed to light. Then, its unnecessary portion is removed to form a given pattern of fluorescent film. |
