PURPOSE:To prevent a glow lamp from being cracked while it is lighting by filling at least one metal selected from a group consisting of chromium and vanadium in a specific quartity, within the glow tube which is filled with at least either cadmium or zinc. CONSTITUTION:The glow tube 3 is supported and fixed by the use of the supporting frame wire 4 in the outer tube 1 made of a bulb-shaped optically transmissive glass with the metallic cap 2 on one side. Inside this glow tube 3, is filled at least either zinc or cadmium and 0.04X10<-6>-4X10<-6> gram atom per cm<3> of the inner volume of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of chromium and vanadium, besides mercury and a rare gas (for example, argon). |
