The clothes hanger is inflatable and can be packed away in a small space when not in use. The hanger comprises a horizontal crosspiece (1) containing an air cavity and made of flexible plastic. When inflated through a valve, the crosspiece assumes the shape of human shoulders. A flat plastics hook (4) has a half-moon shape at the bottom. The hook is joined to the inflatable compartment by two flexible plastic edges on the compartment.
