<p>The arrangement is intended for winding cable on to a drum (23). It comprises drum supports (20) with a drive motor (28) for the drum and a drive motor (29) for the traversing mechanism, which reciprocates in a direction at right angles to the cable feed on rail track wheels (9, 10). The traversing mechanism and drive (29) is contained in one wheeled (9, 10) frame(6) which is separate from, and can be coupled to, a second wheeled (3, 4) frame (1). This frame contains the drum supports (20) and rests on driven wheels which do not run on rails, of which two wheel sets (4) are lifted (31, 30) on engagement by the frame.</p> |
