The connection is used for joining up rows of upholstered furniture units to form larger composite units, especially two or three-seated sofas. It consists of a metal plate bridging the gap between two pieces of furniture and placed between them. Each side of the plate has at least two holes in it, through which bolts or screws (10) are inserted into a firm rim on the bottom of each piece of furniture. Threaded sockets are inserted in the firm rim on the furniture, for wing nuts or locking bolts.
