The displaceable fixing element, accommodating a connecting element, is arrested in an anchor rail in one of two components to be connected in a building. The connecting element comprises a threaded rod with threaded teeth. The fixing element has one component for arresting it in the anchor rail and another for holding the threaded rod in position on it. There is at least one threaded connection for fixing and arresting action. The fixture may be effected by a second anchor rail and a threaded foot mounted on it. The procedure is simplified and less onerous, with a single threaded rod used.
