<p>Planks in a row side by side are supported by end-fixed hooks on the cross bars of esp. tubular steel scaffolding, to make up a working platform. Hooks (6) at one end of each plank (1, 2) are offset from these (6') at the other end. Brackets (8) are fixed at one end serving as mountings for the hooks facing them on an adjacent plank. The hooks on the end away from the brackets have an extension (9) on their base, to grip below the cross bars (7). Hooks and brackets may be formed onto end fittings. When laid on cross bars, individual planks are automatically geared against lifting and displacement.</p> |
