PURPOSE:To manufacture a ceramic sheet of an arbitrary thickness with favorable accuracy by a method wherein the thickness of the ceramic sheet on a carrying part of the sheet prior to passing of a doctor blade device is measured and a height of a doctor blade is corrected from obtained data. CONSTITUTION:A measuring device 4 provided on an upstream side of a doctor blade device 3 detects the thickness of a ceramic sheet at a position prior to its passing through the doctor blade device 3 through thickness sensors 4a, 4b, 4c arranged widthward of a sheet carrying part 2 without coming into contact with the surface of the ceramic sheet. Obtained data are transmitted to a control device 5. A height of a doctor blade 31 is calculated from initial data such as the thickness of the ceramic sheet on the sheet carrying part 2 prior to its passing through the doctor blade device 3, viscosity of ceramic slurry which has been applied beforehand to the control device 5, a moving speed of the sheet carrying part 2 and a desired thickness of the ceramics sheet, in the control device 5. The data are transmitted to an adjusting device 6. The adjusting device 6 adjusts the doctor blade 31 to the height calculated by the control device 5. |
