The loading bridge is intended for a loading ramp. It comprises a platform (1), at one end hinged on a horizontal pivot to the ramp whilst the other end carries a number of individually hinged (8) plates (5) capable of resting on the load dekc of a truck. Springs (29) are provided at the hinges (8) to counteract most of the moment due to the top-heaviness of the forwardly projecting plates. The springs may be dimensioned such that they belance this moment in the lower-most position of the plates. They may be arranged in slots (27) in the undersides of the plates.
