The manuf, procedure is for the production of a heated mat is esp. for application to the formation of asphalt blocks. The assembly consists of a thermoplastic foil strip (16) passing over a guide roller (25) to pass along a horizontal plane and under a holder (26) with an outlet nozzle (27) which deposits a layer of fluid plastics onto the moving belt. The technique enables a flat mat (21) to be formed with a number of parallel foil strips on which is placed a meander-shaped heater wire, mounted on a thermoplastic strip and attached to the main strip by heating.
