A wide angel attachment for an external driving mirror has a transparent wedge (2) clipped to the outside edge of the mirror to progressively refract the line of sight from the wider angels of view. These compressed angles are viewed in the outer portion of the driving mirror and cover the otherwise blind spot. The wedge enables the driver to monitor overtaking, or overtaken vehicles with a progressive view rather than a fragmented one, as from stepped mirrors. The wedge can be applied to most types of external mirror.
