PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deteriorated toner detection device that is independent of a peripheral electric field environment and does not consume excessive toner.SOLUTION: A deteriorated toner detection device 10 comprises a measurement circuit part 11 including an electrode member 12 that is arranged opposite to a photoreceptor, a power source 13 that applies a voltage to between the photoreceptor and the electrode member, and ammeter 14 that measures a current flowing in a closed circuit formed when toner particles T carried on the photoreceptor are held between the photoreceptor and the electrode member. The deteriorated toner detection device 10 detects a deterioration state of the toner particles on the basis of a value of resistance of the toner particles calculated from a value of a voltage applied by the power source and a value of a current measured by measurement means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
