PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyether imide-based fiber and fiber assembly that has an improved fire retardancy as a result of combining with an infrared-reflective component.SOLUTION: The polyether imide-based fiber at least contains a polyether imide-based resin component and an infrared reflective component, and in which the infrared reflective component is present on the fiber surface, inside the fiber or both; and the infrared reflective component may be, for example, in particle shape, and the infrared reflective component may be in dispersion state in the polyether imide-based fiber.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
