PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general method capable of recovering iodine from various iodine-containing waste liquids with high efficiency.SOLUTION: An iodine recovery method includes: adding an oxidant to a solution containing iodide ions to oxidize the iodide ions to iodine; transferring the iodine into an organic solvent; separating a first organic phase containing the iodine; adding a reductant aqueous solution to the first organic phase to reduce the iodine to iodide ions; and separating a water phase containing the iodide ions.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
