Two speed gearbox for electric drills - has selection lever and overload coupling on drill spindle

The two speed gearbox is for electrical tools and esp. for drills. There is a selector lever for gearchange during idling or when the drill is stopped and there is an over lead coupling on the drill spindle. The gear for the second stage (fast gear) is fitted to a pick-up sleeve, which is combined with the drill spindle. It has a hub on which the spring loaded first gear is arranged and the two gears are connected by axially acting spring loaded balls. On its side facing the second gear, a flange shaped attachment at the pick-up sleeve contains coupling ratchets, which correspond with counter-ratchets on the opposite side of the second gear. The second gear also has selector gear with coupling claws which can move on a lay shaft.
