<p>PURPOSE:To enhance transferability, pressure fixability, and plain paper property, by coating or impregnating a transfer paper surface with a coating material prepared by adding a specified range amount of cross-linking agent to a styrene-butadiene latex based on their solid matter. CONSTITUTION:A proper cross-linking agent is added by 10-150pts.wt. to 100pts.wt. styrene-butadiene latex containing styrene by 50% or less in accordance with the functional groups contained in the latex, such as melamine fomaldehyde resin, polyvalent carboxylic acid, or peracid to form a coating material, and one side or both sides of a paperbase for electrophotographic transfer are coated or impregnated with this material, and the paperbase is heat treated at 90-180 deg.C for 30sec-3min to accelerate reaction between the cross-linking agent and the latex. A preferable coating or impregnation amount is 1-5g/m<2> on one side. The transfer paper thus obtained is high in image density, high in sharpness, easy in manufacture, and low in cost.</p> |
