The cable clamping device has a V-shaped base plate (10) with two sloping lugs (13) at the wide end and two smaller sloping lugs (12) at the narrow end, supporting two spindles (15) between them. Each spindle carries a clamping roller (18, 19) which has a rear sleeved part (23) and a larger diameter headed part (20, 21). Each head has a series of circular gripping teeth (22) around it. When a cable (26) is inserted between the clamping rollers, it can be rotated to assist the teeth to embed in the cable, and tension towards the narrow end of the device results in a clamping action, due to the angle of the spindles. |
