Arched girders are set up one behind another. They are interconnected, by purlins and they support a roof skin of corrugated sheet metal. They make up a vaulted hangar-type structure which can be rapidly assembled. The girders (1) are divided at a short interval on both sides of the ridge line, and are connected to the ends of trusses (3) at the dividing point (2). Trusses may be rigid self-supporting lattice girders in equilateral triangle shape: or assembled from two separate roof girders. This can be sufficiently wide without additional internal supports, and with no sealing or ventilation problems, and can be erected in areas subject to snow and storms.
|
