PURPOSE:To keep a temperature of dampening water in constant and improve printing by a method wherein a circulating passageway of refrigerant for a refrigerating machine is formed in a water roller to provide the roller with a function of an evaporator for the refrigerating machine while a temperature sensor is provided in a water tank for the dampening water. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerating machine 8' is operated to circulate refrigerant in a piping 9 and ambient heat is absorbed by an evaporator 10 to cool a water roller 2 itself. Dampening water 16 in a water tank 14 wherein the roller 2 is dipped is cooled by cooling of the roller 2 and the cooled dampening water 16 is supplied from the roller 2 to a press plate on a form cylinder through an ink fountain roller and a form roller. A temperature of the dampening water is detected by a temperature sensor 17 and operation of the refrigerating machine 8' is stopped or initiated by the temperature sensor in order to keep the temperature of the dampening water in constant always. |
