PURPOSE:To save power and prevent trouble by turning OFF the power through the operation of CPU after storing information on a register and status in a central processing unit by using a nonvolatile memory. CONSTITUTION:With switch DON ON, memory circuit TM generates no output and stays in the state. Therefore, the output of circuit TM stays OFF even when switch DON is turned OFF afterward. At this time, transistor TR1 is high in impedance and CPU starts operating by being supplied with secondary power. On the other hand, when CPU sends a power-OFF command signal to AND gate AG, the output of gate AG is ON, and that of circuit TM is ON; and the output of circuit TM remains ON afterward, and the power to CPU is cut off. |
