PURPOSE:To simplify the operation, by collecting nasty smell component in gas sample with sulfuric acid filtering method, eluting the filter paper, preparing the sample by adding alkali, and determining ammonia and trimethylamine through the detection of ion current for ions produced in the detector. CONSTITUTION:After separating the sample including ammonia and trimethylamine by means of gas chromatograph columns, mixture of the components and carrier gas is mixed with hydrocarbon gas and the result is fed to the frame thermionic detector being the detector. The trimethylamine and ammonia are analyzed by detecting the ion current produced in the frame of the alkali source section of this detector. |
