PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device that can properly and stably perform a reading operation even when a load acts on a support surface for reading a book original or the like.SOLUTION: In an image reading device 1, a controller C1 executes achieving processing of achieving open/close information of a cover 9 by an elevation sensor S2 and a swing sensor S1, determining processing of determining the load state of an original document on the support face on the basis of the load information achieved by the achieving processing, and driving control processing of controlling a driving part 30M to generate driving force on the basis of a first driving condition when a state that a load acts on the support face is determined on the basis of the determination result of the determining processing, and controls the driving part 30M to generate driving force on the basis of a second driving condition different from the first driving condition when the state that the load acts on the support face is not determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
