PURPOSE:To enable a simple structure to stop a tone arm at any position with high reliability as to a linear tracking player, by supporting the tone arm corresponding to the output of a comparing method and by linearly moving a moving member. CONSTITUTION:The position of tone arm 1 is detected 10 and a signal corresponding to the position is generated. Then, a reference signal corresponding to a desired stop position is generated 17. Next, the reference signal is compared 16 with the position signal to obtain an output equivalent to the difference and according to the output, tone arm 1 is supported to move moving member 2 which moves freely and linearly. |
