PURPOSE:To realize both the miniaturization and high Q for the resonator featuring one end shorted and the other end open each, by mounting the dielectric into the space surrounded by the internal and external conductors with contact secured to the internal/external conductors and no contact to the tip open part of the internal conductor. CONSTITUTION:The distribution constant type resonator is formed with central conductor 1, external conducor 2 and dielectric 4 each. Conductor disk 5 is connected to the tip of conductor 1, and tuning screw 6 is provided as the earth electrode and in opposition to disk 5. Thus the resonant frequency is controlled by changing the gap between disk 5 and screw 6. Dielectric 4 is away from the tip part of conductor 1 by distance l3, and as a result the reduction is given to the field disturbance which causes the lowering of Q. Thus the tuning range can be increased for the resonator. |
