PROCESS DEVICE FOR COMPRESSING THE MATERIAL OF A MOULD

The material of the mould (9) is poured up to a given level on a plate (1) carrying the model (2). The latter is surrounded by a form casing (3) and a filling frame (4). The setting of a lid (8) forms a hollow space (10) into which a combustible substance is ignited. The rapid combustion produces a pressure wave which compresses the material of the mould. The pressure drop of the pressurised gas thus obtained can be controlled or monitored by means of a diaphragm or a check valve so that in a brief lapse of time a homogeneous and dense mould is formed.
