The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for transmitting a packet in a wireless communication system, and more specifically, to a method and an apparatus for transmitting a packet in a filter bank multi-carrier (FBMC) wireless communication system. The transmission method according to an embodiment of the present invention is a packet transmission method in a filter bank multi-carrier wireless communication system, and comprises the steps of: generating an OQAM symbol by extracting a transmission data section from data in which data to be transmitted are repeated with a value of an overlapping factor; performing an inverse fast Fourier transform (ITTF) on the OQAM symbol; performing a cyclic shift on the inverse fast Fourier transformed symbol, if the overlapping factor is even; filtering the cyclic-shifted, inverse fast Fourier-transformed symbol with a shortened correction filter; and transmitting the filtered symbol by performing OQAM overlapping. Thereby, reduction in transmission efficiency caused by overlapping transmission can be prevented.
