<p>PURPOSE: To quickly execute medical treatment, by forming a segment type arch wire slot by scoopout on a single tie wing bracket to narrow the slot area capable of accepting a wire. CONSTITUTION: A scoopout 26 is designed to be longer than archwire 24 in the longitudinal dimension and deeper than an archwire slot. Friction between an archwire 43 and a bracket 15 could be decreased as compared with a conventional way, even when the archwire 43 slides along the bottom of the slot, since a bottom wall 56 of the scoopout is designed to be deeper than a bottom wall 30 of the archwire slot. To decrease the friction between the archwire and the bracket makes teeth move smoothly for improving the bracket function. Since decreasing the friction also brings about decrease in resistance of the archwire, a prescribed tooth is able to be moved quickly without incompatibility sence of patient thus resulting in high treatment effect.</p> |
