PURPOSE:To remove nitrogen oxides effectively even at a high temp. in an ammonia reduction of a high-temp. exhaust gas, by using a catalyst obtained by supporting tungsten oxide or the like by an active alumina support coated with titania or the like. CONSTITUTION:In removing nitrogen oxides in an exhaust gas having a temp. of 400-700 deg.C from a gas turbine or the like, a catalyst obtained by supporting tungsten oxide and/or cerium oxide by an active alumina support coated with titania or a support obtained by heat-treating said active alumina at 600-900 deg.C is used. This catalyst does not suffer from difficulties due to ammonia oxidation and moisture even at a high temp. and removes nitrogen oxides in high efficiency. |
