An electronic organ has a sign generator for production of repeated impulses and impulse divider to produce repeated spatially separated and distributed impulses related to the base impulse generated. A solid state storage matrix with inputs and outputs is provided with an impulse supply device to feed the separated and distributed impulses into the inputs. A large number of note keys are used with a selector device which produces output impulses in different patterns. A rhythm accompaniment device is used to allow several different rhythms to be produced simultaneously.
