PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable, including an intermittently-coupled type optical fiber ribbon, that facilitates maintenance of a manufacturing apparatus of the optical fiber ribbon.SOLUTION: An optical cable includes an optical fiber ribbon 2 that is formed such that multiple coated optical fibers 21 disposed in parallel are integrated. The optical fiber ribbon 2 is formed such that the multiple coated optical fibers 21 are integrated by a covering for covering an outer periphery of each of the coated optical fibers.
