A slag wax(oil content 8-9%, m.p. 124↿F, penetration at 77↿F 30/32) was deoiled in the series of cells where the plates were spaced apart 1/16 in. The wax introduced at 140↿F and solidified by cooling to 100↿F, then the temp. was increased 1-5↿F/hr over 12hr and the deoiled wax contg. 1.13% oil was obtained.
