PURPOSE:To widely flow the plate type water stream along the cooling water in order to uniformly cool the strip, by spouting a part of cooling water into the diverging direction from both ends of the slit nozzle for flowing down the plate type cooling water. CONSTITUTION:The cooling water sent from the water pipe 6 is supplied from the water hole 8 to the header 1, and flows through the slit nozzle 2 downward as the plate type water stream 3. Hereupon, a part of cooling water is spouted into the diverging direction from the contracton preventive nozzle 7 installed on both ends of the water pipe 6 so as to form the plate type water stream 3. Hereby, the plate type water stream 3 flows along the spouted cooling water forming the plate type water stream widely spread in the diverging direction, and flows down along the surface of the strip 4 in breadth wider than breadth of the strip 4. |
