The game is played on a board (1) marked with vertical columns and horizontal rows (3) on which movable plates (4) are placed. These have one plain face (5) and some have designs (6,7) on the other face. Pieces (8) are moved on the plates, using a die (10) and cards with designs corresponding to those on the plates. The marked plates stop a piece advancing unless the die is thrown, allowing it to be moved forward or to another position. Opposite the start (9) and on one side there are notches (10) allowing a row or column of squares to be displaced.
