PURPOSE:To simplify a construction and widen a control range, by connecting thyristors to the high voltage taps and intermediate taps of a main transformer and supplying the thyristors with the same firing signal for phase control. CONSTITUTION:Intermediate taps I1-I3 are provided on the secondary windings Tb of a main transformer T1. A first, a second and a third thyristors SCR1-SCR3 are coupled between one output terminal O1 and the high voltage taps of the secondary windings Tb so that a first rectifier circuit RC1 is constituted. A fourth, a fifth and a sixth thyristors SCR4-SCR6 are coupled between the output terminal O1 and the lower-voltage intermediate taps I1-I3 so that a second rectifier circuit RC2 is constituted. One terminal of each secondary winding Tb is connected to another output terminal O2. A firing signal for phase control is applied to the gates of the first, second, third, fourth fifth and sixth thyristors SCR1-SCR6 from a phase shifter PS. |
