<p>The component parts of a pick-up assembly for a gramophone record player (transducer, holder, arm, pedestal, counter-weight, platform) are partly coated with a vibration-damping material. Pref. the damping material is an epoxy resin-based adhesive used for the assembly joints, to eliminate vibration transmission between metallic faces directly or via coupling screws, bolts, etc. Suppresses propagation of parasitic vibration which can interfere with reproduction quality.</p> |
