The extruded hollow profiled section, whose width is greater than its thickness, comprises two parallel outer walls joined by intermediate ribs, being of plastic with an impact resistance of not more than 80 kJ per sq.m. Edge strips of impact-resistant plastic are mounted along the lengthwise sides, their material being typically unfoamed plastic with an impact resistance of more than 80 kJ per sq.m. They can be >=0.5mm thick.
