The long heating pipe is filled with a reversibly vaporisable and condensible heat-transfer medium. The pipe assembly (10) has a hermetically-sealed wall and a capillary structure on the inside for the entire length, for the transport of condensate. The pipe is of lens-shaped cross-section, and its walls are made of an initially flat pair of thin sheet-metal strips (1, 2), sealed together hermatically along the edges. The centres of the strips are forced apart and they are held in an arched shaped by distance pieces (7) between them. There may be one tubular distance piece as two solid ones. |
