Dough working up into the form of a coherent, continuous sheet, which has been raised by yeast or by gas producing chemicals, and is given a suitable impressed pattern, is baked to form crispbread and when baked is divided into piece for packing. Used for the prodn. of crispbread characterised by uniformity of structure and appearance without it being necessary to cut away the edges of the baked sections to waste, which together with deformed pieces which also have to be rejected means that by existing prodn. methods is approx. 20% is scrap.
