PURPOSE:To enable efficient use of the central station and data highway, by performing time sharing exchange in the station itself for the communication between subscribers connected to one terminal unit. CONSTITUTION:The central station unit 1 and a plurality of terminal station units 2 are coupled in ring shape with the transmission line 3 including the data highway. The phase conversion unit 4 is provided in each terminal unit 2 and the subscribers 5A-5D are connected respectively via this unit 4. Since the subscribers 5A and 5B are connected to different terminal station units each other, the exchanging connection is made via the transmission line 3, but the subscribers connected to one unit 2 such as the subscribers 5C and 5D can independently be connected for exchange of the transmission line 3. Thus, the communication for the subscribers connected to one unit 2 can not give burden to the central station unit 1 and the transmission line 3. |
