<p>An iron-base alloy to be used for portions which require corrosion resistance against molten zinc, such as structural members of a continuous molten zinc plating apparatus. As compared with conventional stainless steels, this alloy contains Co, Mo, W, Nb, and Ta and does not contain Al and Ti, thus exhibiting an improved corrosion resistance against molten zinc. The specific composition is: C: 0.01-2%; Si: 0.01-2%; Mn: 0.01-2%; Nb and/or Ta: 1-6%; Mo and/or W: 1-10%; Ni: 10-30%; Co: 10-30%; Cr: 10-25%; Fe: balance. For the purpose of enhancing the corrosion resistance of the grain boundery, Zr and/or B may be incorporated to a content of 0.001-2%. </p> |
