In order to separate oil from a mixture of oil and water, so that the degree of the water obtained be so small that no damage is made to ecology, the mixture is preferably poured on several inclined planes (18, 20, 22, 24) which are affixed in a housing (12). These planes make an acute angle with each other and are covered with an oil repellent coating (30). Water passes through the coating and is led, at the lowest point of each plane, towards a collector (34, 36, 38, 40, 42). On the other hand, oil is collected, on the surface of the coating, at the lowest point of the bottom plane (24). |
