The heating system comprises pipes laid in the plaster or other covering and on a supporting layer, pref. of heat-insulating material, the heating medium flowing through the pipes being pref. liq. The pipes are arranged in a serpentine or grid pattern. The piees (6) are laid in the statically neutral zone of the covering (5). This avoids the generation of bursting stresses in the material in which they are embedded.
