An axle support for a bus with automatic steering control has the centre of the axle pivoted in a support housing (24) by two concentric bearing pins (26). A steering control for the axle has the axle pivoted about a central bolt (25) on which the axle is suspended in the bearing. The bearing is simple and robust. It allows the axle to tilt and to steer, with the steering action controlled by lateral guide wheels in contact with the track edges and with the steering brake released.
