A closing shaft is rotatably mounted in a housing and connected by a link-rod system to the frame or door leaf, in the automatic door closer. A locking mechanism, blocking closure, comprises a shaft in another housing, and stop device. The locking housing (8) is mounted on the same frame or door leaf (1) as the closer housing. The locking shaft (18) is directly or indirectly connectable with the closer shaft. The latter may have externally accessible form-locking end engagement units connectable to link-rod (4) and locking shaft respectively.
