<p>A shoe sole which is made of a plastic injection moulding has along its periphery a leather frame with a section of a triangle which lies on its side, gives the appearance of the thick leather sole, and is joined at the bottom edge to a thin leather sole. The fillet between leather frame and leather sole is also filled out by injected plastic. The remainder of the sole is made of PVC or polyurethane. Such a sole combines the looks and the hygienic advantages of leather with a greater saving of money for the expensive leather so that they will have a greater sales appeal.</p> |
