The atomiser uses a pulsating flow of a gaseous atomising medium. It has a co-axial generator for the pulsating flow; an outlet pipe; an intermediate perforated retainer section for the material; and a pipe branch for material feed. The retainer section (7) is movably positioned on a shaft, extending parallel to the axis of the channel, which supplies the gaseous atomising medium. The supply pipe branch (9) is located outside the channel. The retainer sections consists of a disc (7) with peripheral perforations. The pulsating flow generator pref. uses a compressor .
